9016 Old Oregon Inlet Rd

This house is an expanded version of John's 6 bed 5.5 bath design. 
It was the subject of quite a bit of controversy in Nags Head, due to
the amount of fill we had to add to the lot to elevate the ground floor to base flood level.

 Despite the fears of a certain well connected neighbor, it has actually
improved the floodwater situation due to the waterproof design of the bulkhead
and water retention area out front.  We still maintain that no one should be allowed to
build a house without the ability to park a car above the base flood level -  a flash flood
destroyed several hundred cars in Buxton a couple of years ago, and one home burnt to the
ground due to a short circuted battery in a flooded car parked under the house.

We could go on about building in Nags Head, but if you can't say anything nice...
